Cancellation policy
Missed appointments and late cancellations – policy for all patients
We aim to provide all our patients with the best possible service and to achieve this we need your cooperation.
If you are not able to attend your appointment, please give us at least 48 hours' notice so that we can allocate the time to someone else. Otherwise, we will have to apply a late cancellation charge.
The practice is closed on weekends, therefore to avoid any cancellation charge, Monday appointments must be cancelled latest by Friday morning.
Missed appointments and cancellations at short notice without a valid reason deprives other patients of valuable surgery time leading to long waiting lists. Please be aware that all missed appointments and late cancellations will be charged for.
All Dental Plan appointments that are missed or cancelled at short notice will be counted as part of your annual allocation of appointments.
Reminders
A courtesy text or email reminder can be sent before an appointment if requested. Please note that on occasions, these reminders do not get delivered through circumstances beyond our control (IT issues, change of patient contact details etc). Therefore, please do not rely entirely on these reminders. It is your responsibility to keep all booked appointments and to ensure that we are informed of any changes to your contact information.
We reserve the right to refuse further appointments to those who have failed to attend appointments until any outstanding fees have been paid.
Finally, our goal in communicating our cancellation and missed appointment policy is to avoid any unnecessary extra charges being passed onto our patients.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
